WHERE WE SERVE
Our Impact In Kenya
Sikizana Child Rescue Center
The rescue center is home to over 100 children, with many supported by our child sponsorship program. It's the county's only children's home. Nine years ago, we joined forces with our partners when they faced challenges meeting the children's basic needs. Today, it provides exemplary care and sets the benchmark for quality standards in child welfare.
Hands with Hope Children’s Home
There are over 40 children residing at this children’s home and all come from traumatic backgrounds and situations. Our partners at Hands with Hope are a vital resource in the community, providing loving care and safe shelter while working towards healthy family reunification. Our child sponsorship program meets urgent needs like food, shelter, education, and loving care.
Lemouwo Preschool
Lemouo Preschool serves 65 children ages 4 to 8 in a Maasai tribal community where extreme poverty often forces young children to leave school to help herd cattle and provide food for their families. Through our comprehensive support, these children now have the opportunity to stay in school, receive nutritious meals while having access the resources they need to learn and thrive.
A new borehole now provides clean water for the school, a feeding program was launched, while essential learning materials are provided each term. Together, these resources are creating a safe, nurturing learning environment where children can focus on their education instead of worrying about their next meal.
Kibera Arts Program
Kibera stands as one of Africa's largest slum communities with over 100,000 orphaned children living there. Yet, amidst the challenges, a ray of hope emerges—the Kibera Arts District. Here, we assist our partners with an after-school art program for children, creating a safe haven of community while nurturing their unique talents and self-esteem. Volunteer artists serve as mentors, teaching skills and guiding children toward potential careers in the arts.
GIRLS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
In collaboration with our female partners, local businesswomen, and government leaders, we've launched the Visionary Leadership Academy for Girls (VLAG). Its mission is to empower a new generation of female leaders to positively impact their communities and the world. Through VLAG, young female students are discovering their unique strengths and abilities while breaking down societal barriers such as limited education, early marriage, and gender-based violence. These girls have become empowered voices of change, transforming their futures and inspiring those around them.
